The event “A New Era of European Security - Strategy, Joint Investment and Industry” was held in Zagreb, organized by the European Parliament Office in Croatia.
The conference was opened with introductory remarks by Maja Ljubić Kutnjak, Head of the European Parliament Office in the Republic of Croatia, and Ivan Anušić, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defence.
The panel discussion featured Goran Basarac, President of the Management Board of ALAN Agency d.o.o., alongside Željana Zovko, Member of the European Parliament; Anna Boda, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Croatia; Srđan Kovačević, President of the Management Board of Orqa; and Assoc. Prof. Robert Barić, PhD, from the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb.
The aim of the discussion was to examine the key steps towards a more efficient, faster and genuinely European approach to defence procurement, in line with the new strategic guidelines of the European Union, as well as to consider how Croatia can position itself actively, responsibly and substantively within this process.
